The webmaster read a Japanese novel titled "ILC/TOHOKU" consisting of three short stories. The first one titled " The View from a New Tower" describes the future scene after the completion of the international linear collider (ILC) under the Kiatakami mountains in Iwate Prefecture. In the story, the district including the ILC campus and Hiraizumi will turn into a cosmopolis thronged with domestic and international researchers and tourists. The webmaster were pleased not only with the future prosperity in the district but also with the story's amazing ending that a boy brought up in Mizusawa (the webmaster's birthplace in the neighborhood of the ILC campus) will become a commander of an international space linear collider (ISLC).
