A Hub Bus Terminal Opens in Tokyo

A hub bus terminal has opened in Shinjuku, Tokyo, making it much easier to travel around Japan.

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, transport and Tourism and has spent about 70 billion yen, or about 620 million dollars, to build the terminal. It consolidated 19 main express bus stops which were spread out around the major railway and subway stations of Shinjuku.

The new bus terminal is located south of the Shinjuku railway station. It is expected to have the most arrivals and departures in the whole country. 

It has a travel information center where the staff receives visitors in several languages, including English and Chinese .

Tourists can also exchange currency and send parcels from within the terminal building.
